IPO 2026 WAS THE BIGGEST SO FAR
The 34th International Philosophy Olympiad (IPO 2026), hosted in Warsaw,
was the largest Olympiad in the history of the competition.
A record 57 national delegations participated, with 118 students competing in the essay competition.
The scale of the event reflects the growing global interest in philosophy education.
Across all participating countries, 55 968 students took part in national competitions and selection processes, from which each delegation selected up to two students to represent their country at the IPO.
The Olympiad also brought together 105 philosophy teachers and academics, who served as delegation leaders and essay evaluators, ensuring a rigorous and internationally collaborative assessment process.
